Sipping Green.

A few months ago, I was searching for a neat beer gift for Berry White.  If you've ever tried to buy a "theme-y" gift for an avid collector or enthusiast, then you know how tough it can be to find something that the person doesn't already have 2,000 of.

Pint glasses, brewery tees, beer magazine subscriptions...it had all been done.  I suppose if it came down to it, I could have gone with the classically absurd Beer Helmet but he would've most likely said that sipping beer through plastic tubing interferes with the hop profile.

He's so cute when he's nerdy.

Then, I stumbled across THE coolest site on Etsy.  YAVA Glass!

They take glass bottles with screenprinted labels and give them an earth-friendly makeover.  They offer assorted sizes of drinking glasses, coasters, spoonrests and even these adorable nightlights in a variety of different "beverages" (although I'm obviously partial to the beer ones.)

I went with a Breckenridge Brewery 471 Double IPA drinking glass.  I couldn't believe they had this one.  Mike wants to have this beer's babies, raise them and send them off to brewing college.

Here's a side-by-side comparison of a standard beer bottle and the glass (for you visual types out there.)

Nifty, huh?

Awesome green concept and a great company.  Check out their Featured Seller interview on Etsy.

And with that, I think I'll buy a few more glasses.  Now.
