Last year, I decided that I wanted to start making my own coffee at home. I bought some filters, picked up one of those fancy orange bags of Dunkin' Donuts coffee (which, apparently, the world runs on) and got to brewing.
First attempt: the mission was cut short when I realized I had bought cone filters and the coffeemaker required those big peanut butter cup-looking filters. Strike one.
Second attempt: the coffee came out super weak. I looked at the directions on the bag. Oh right. Use tablespoons. Not teaspoons. Smart. Strike two.
Third attempt: I didn't sleep for 4 nights. I put a smidge too much Hulk strength behind my scoops. Strike three.
There's got to be a better way!
And there is.
The Tassimo T20 Brewbot.
Beep boop bop boo beep.
This innovative little dynamo of a machine uses single-serving discs to make seven (7!) different beverages: coffee, tea, espresso, cappuccino, latte, crema coffee (think coffee with a creamless frothy top) and hot chocolate.
The Brewbot comes with a box each of Starbucks espresso and creamer discs to get you started.
Each disc has a barcode printed on the label. The Brewbot reads the barcode and brews your specialized beverage accordingly. Pretty nifty, huh?
And perhaps my favorite thing about the Brewbot: it literally has two buttons: On/Off and Start. When you're running late and your hoverboard is ready and waiting to launch, you don't have time to mess with extra bells and whistles. This makes the brewing process SO easy.
Alright, watch how simple it is to make a cappuccino.
1. Pop in the milk disc. Press the start button.
2. Remove the milk disc and pop in the espresso disc. Press start again.
3. Greetings, cappuccino.
Is your kitchen counter just begging for one of these?

Fine Print: Contest open to US residents only...sorry! Contest ends 1/13/11 @ 11:59pm. (1) winner will be drawn at random and announced on Friday, 1/14/11. While this giveaway is sponsored by Bosch, the opinions expressed here are the views of the writer and probably reflect the views and opinion of the geniuses at Bosch as well because it's a dope product and I can't wait to give my other coffeemaker the boot.
Good luck everyone! Happy weekend to all.
Rosie, you're no longer needed here.Tweet
